In order to route your emails outbound through Proofpoint, this step is required to ensure that your messages are not rejected by recipient mail servers as potential spoofing.
If your SPF record only contains the default Outlook entry, then change your SPF record to the following depending on your region:
- US region: v=spf1 a:dispatch-us.ppe-hosted.com include:spf.protection.outlook.com -all
- EU region: v=spf1 a:dispatch-eu.ppe-hosted.com include:spf.protection.outlook.com -all
If your SPF record has additional entries for other services sending on your behalf, then just add a:dispatch-us.ppe-hosted.com (for US customers) or a:dispatch-eu.ppe-hosted.com (for EU customers) after the v=spf1 portion of your record.
